Obscure Cosplay Moment

Description

Happy Friday Morning folks.

So this is another obscure one. As you're probably aware, I follow a few webcomics and read the latest page as part of my morning ritual before going to work. One of them is called Kiwi Blitz.

The best way to describe it is the story of a girl who gets a mechsuit (shaped like a Kiwi bird) on her birthday and decides to fight crime. Simple as that and I do recommend it. And I drew Kitty in the main character's original costume which has been discarded for a more Protective one.

Like I said, Obscure. Kiwi Blitz belongs to Ms Mary Cragle. Please support her  webcomic or her offical works on her  tumblr page.

Over all I believe you have strong lines which is something many artist have problems with but I would watch the harshness of the cheek bone and nose if this is intended to be a female. Smaller nose and softer cheek lines. Be mindful of where your lighting is coming from and all the plaines it would effect. Maybe even one step darker where the cape is covering the bit of the tail and hip. It will give your coloring a lot more depth. I like the expression and even though it's anime your anatomy is solid. I would bring the curve of her hip on the left side in a bit more toward where like her elbow is. naturally you would have some indication of where the back is. Adding a darker color may even help that. And lastly watch the right arm (her left) with that dark grey next to the black of the cape. Unless the underside of the cape is really black fabric I would just go a darker shade of the outside cape color. If you want to keep it black or the sleeve dark, try adding some kind of color or highlight to show that those are separate. But over all its a very solid piece. I like the color choice and the purple plays off the sea foam well. and the yellow wrist gloves are a nice touch. Great job! Keep going! Don't be afraid to take chances and experiment. best of luck!!!
