Description

And here we are. This is Anna Asta, Kitty's Mother and Ed's first wife. She was a North Dakota native for all of her life, coming from a large Norwegian farm family, the Engels.

But now she has passed on, leaving Kit and Ed with only memories. As I said earlier, the subject of Anna is a touchy subject with Kitty. So touchy that she gotten into fights when someone had said something bad about her. These bouts happen because the two of them were close and the sad fact that Kit was there when Anna died; seeing it play out to the grim end.

Special shout out to Butch-likes-pie for the suggesting the name "Asta." Despite Anna winning in the poll I posted, Asta seem to fit her very well. Nicely done miss.

Wow! I'm not too experienced with writing critiques, but I'll give it a go!
First, I want to say that I love the style you used for this, and the things I point out, I'm sorry if it's just the particular style.
This piece is a decent example of motion. The way you drew the hair made it look like there is a slight breeze going on, but the coat should also follow that, here it looks kind of like the breeze is blowing up, causing the coat to puff out more. Also, the hands look a tad bit ig(again, not sure if it's a style or not) but to me, the fingers look just a little bit wide. But nice touch adding the fingernails! A lot of artists don't do that often(Including myself)
The lines are fairly smooth as well, which is good and I love how the colors you've used. It would definitely be a treat to see this shaded!
Overall I think you did a fantastic job, even though there is always room for improvement <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> Keep up the great work, I hope you found this helpful!
